SCEFL release Premier Division September fixtures

SCEFL have published the initial fixtures of the forthcoming season but have limited it to just September for the time being. As they explained: “We are only able to release fixtures a few weeks at a time while we await sight of the fixtures from the Leagues above plus the re-opening of all grounds in the SCEFL”.

So we start the month with a FA cup tie as we take on Horsham YMCA at St Paul’s on Tuesday evening 1st September. Fans may get a feeling of deja vu as we played them previously in the FA Cup at St Paul’s in 2018. (Here’s the match report from the day: http://www.fisherfc.org/2018/08/14/match-report-fisher-1-2-horsham-ymca/). Let’s hope the result is different this time and we can progress into the FA Cup proper.

Our first league game of the season is away to Crowborough on Saturday 5th September. We will let fans know in good time what the conditions will be on visiting supporters in terms of social distancing at the Community Stadium. Hopefully they will allow away support to attend without restrictions on numbers.

The next 3 games are to be played at St Paul’s. As you will be aware from our Covid update here: http://www.fisherfc.org/2020/08/20/important-information-concerning-supporters-at-st-pauls/ we are still in the process of ensuring confirmation that fans will be allowed in to watch Fisher at St Paul’s although the numbers through the gates may be limited at the start of the season in accordance with FA/government guidelines. This will involve prioritising members and season ticket holders so to ensure you can attend every Fish home league game the safest option is to become a member and/or season ticket holder

Please keep checking our social media (facebook/twitter) and the website for any further updates.

Our first two home league games are Tuesday evening kick-offs where we take the two new boys of the Premier Division – Balham (on the 8th) and Tower Hamlets (on the 15th). Final confirmed fixture of September is our FA Vase game against little known side Little Common.

Naturally all fixtures are open to change by the league and given these unprecedented times it would be good practice to check the website on a regular basis in case of changes and for up-to-the-minute infomation.
