A calamitous afternoon for Fisher saw the side slip to the foot of the Kent Hurlimann Football League table as Sevenoaks moved up with this comprehensive win.
Sevenoaks were sharper and showed some good touches, belying their league position. As a poor first half came to a close, with The Fish appealing for offside Gondorf raced through to open the scoring, with no flag raised. On the stroke of half time, after a mellee in the Fisher penalty area, our young keeper Billy Hensman clashed with an onrushing Sevenoaks player, and suffered a suspected concussion.
The second half saw Femi Olugbemi don the keepers gloves, as the Fish had no reserve keeper on the bench. Sevenoaks did not take advantage of this situation until later in the half, but restricted the Fish to the occasional foray into the final third.
With twenty minutes left Matt Cammish doubled Town’s lead, with a spectacular looping effort. The home side finished the proceedings with two close range strikes from Gerald Akosa, and the four-nil defeat sealed a cold and miserable afternoon for the Fish.
