Lordswood 2 - 0 Fisher
Saturday 16 April 2011 - 15:00

Fisher slipped to an away defeat at Lordswood, as mistakes at the back and missed chances proved the difference between the two sides.
The Fish will be disappointed not to have taken something from a match in which they enjoyed much of the possession, but a lack of cutting edge up-front was compounded by an error in defence shortly after halftime that allowed Lordswood to take the lead.
With Dexter Babalola suspended and Dwayne Cowan injured, Juan Ramirez led the line up-front with George Savage operating just behind him.
The Fish started brightly, although it was a game of few chances in the first half. Fisher won a number of set pieces, and John Sinnott went close from a corner as he powered a header at goal that was saved by the impressive Matt Byott in the Lordswood goal. Sinnott also impressed at the back, his performances improving each week as he regains match fitness, and his addition to the squad has been timely as Jimmy Beauchamp’s season has been ended early by knee ligament damage.
Dan Teeley was called into action later in the half, making saves from a number of long range efforts, and an even first half finished goaless. After the break, Fisher’s penchant for slow starts returned to haunt them as Steve Elliott latched on to a hurried clearance from Teeley and while the Fisher gloveman got a hand to his shot, it was not enough to stop it crossing the line.
The Fish then dominated possession but were unable to secure a breakthrough. Ramirez went close with a sharp turn and shot, but his effort was well saved by Byott. Gary Lisney threw Cedric Abraham up front to provide some height, with Simon St Aimie moving back into central defence, but the Lords defence held firm. With the Fish pushing forward in search of a goal, Lordswood looked dangerous on the break and they sealed the three points just before the final whistle with another goal from Elliott.
