Fisher 1 - 1 Erith Town
Monday 22 March 2010 - 19:45

A dramatic last minute equaliser by forward Luke Coleman ensured Fisher gained a share of the spoils against a well drilled Erith Town side.
Coleman met new signing Anthony Glover’s corner with a well directed glancing header that left former Fish stopper Tim Roberts with no chance.
The late excitement masked what was otherwise a game of few chances but the point gained effectively extends Fisher’s unbeaten run to five in all competitions.
After Saturdays tremendous result and performance at league leaders Faversham, it was always going to be difficult for the Fish to reach that level of play just 48 hours later.
Erith Town looked the fresher of the two in the opening exchanges and continued to win more than their fair share of 50/50’s as the home side were put on the back foot from the start.
Fisher’s first effort on goal came in the 12th minute when Coleman curled a long range freekick narrowly wide. Three minutes later, Town took the lead in rather fortuitous fashion. Kris Hollidge’s spooned clearance fell to Adam Marsh with his back to goal on the edge of the area. The forward allowed the ball to bounce before hooking it back over his shoulder which eluded everyone including keeper Adam Lisney before dropping under the cross bar and into the back of the net.
Fisher finally hit their stride 15 minutes before the interval, Cedric Abraham got the better of the Town defence before firing a low cross towards Coleman, the number 10 failed to connect with any power and Roberts made a comfortable save. On 42 minutes Fisher’s best chance of the half once again fell to Coleman who was put through with just Roberts to beat but the lob finish lacked the power or direction to beat the 6’4 keeper.
In the second period, Erith ensured the Fish were unable to gather any momentum in a stop-start passage of play. The away side did produce one excellent chance with just 10 minutes left, Kevin George was allowed a free header but Lisney was alert enough to palm the ball away. Town were made to pay for that miss with virtually the last touch of the game as Coleman rescued a point for a relieved Fisher side.
