FISHER COMMUNITY DAY – Saturday 14th November

FISHER COMMUNITY DAY: Love Football Love SE16

Ahead of our eagerly anticipated Community Day fixture against Tunbridge Wells Football Club on Saturday 14th November is a run down of the excellent community causes we’ll be supporting this season as a club.

This Community Day we are supporting Time and Talents (fighting isolation) and Mentivity (mentoring young people), plus collecting food for Rotherhithe Community Kitchen (tackling food poverty) https://shininglight4u.com/

One of the causes we’re supporting is long standing partner Time & Talents. Based in Rotherhithe, they bring neighbours together through free children’s activities, support and friendship for older people, and community groups tackling isolation.

For the first time we are also supporting Mentivity, which helps young people build confidence, resilience and ambition through 1-to-1 mentoring, school programmes and safe community spaces. Their work helps young people in Southwark overcome barriers and thrive.

Finally, we’re collecting food for Rotherhithe Community Kitchen at Fisher FC Community Day. Founded by local volunteers during the cost-of-living crisis, it provides nutritious meals for people facing food insecurity in our community. If you can, please bring a donation!
