Fisher 0 - 1 Holmesdale
Saturday 24 April 2010 - 15:00

Twelfth place was to play for as Holmesdale visited Champion Hill on Saturday.
Gary Lisney asked for a reaction from his side after a poor performance on Monday night against Erith & Belvedere and he got it as the Fish looked lively from the start.
The first half was a relatively even affair as both sides struggled on a dry and dusty playing surface. The two best chances of the half both fell to Elstrom Die, the forward was played through on goal after 10 minutes – Die’s lofted finish had Jamie Williams stranded but the ball fell an inch the wrong side of the post. On the half hour mark, Die was played through again – the exposed Williams was rounded but Die finished wide from an acute angel.
Fisher went on to dominate the second half, Lisney in a desperate attempt to win the game put on two further strikers to play in a four man attack but the Holmesdale defence continued to hold firm. Rafael Akala did on one occasion get the better of the visitor’s backline but the finish was poor with just Williams to beat.
A frustrating afternoon took a cruel twist late on when Nathan Bell broke through the Fish advanced lines to round Adam Lisney and slot home into an empty net.
