Holmesdale 0 - 3 Fisher
Saturday 13 April 2013 - 15:00

Fisher ran out comfortable winners on a wet, windy afternoon in Bromley. Marvin Alebiosu’s first half goal got the Fish on their way and second half efforts from Ben Frempah and Bryan Zepo sealed the three points.
After Monday’s frustrating draw with Greenwich Borough, where Fisher were unable to make their dominance of the game count, there were no such problems on the road as Fisher picked up the win that their performance deserved.
With players absent through work commitments, it was a youthful Fisher side that took the field with Bryan Zepo starting and a full debut for Harvey Hanifan. Holmesdale featured former Fisher midfielders Zak Henry and Sean Brown. The game started in persistent rain and with a strong wind that meant Fisher spent the first half with the rain in their faces. Fisher started brightly and after just three minutes Zepo nearly converted from a free kick that found him in the box, before Brown committed a clear handball in the area that was not spotted the match officials.
Fisher got their reward soon enough, however, as Danny Willis – used in a midfield role – engineered an opening for himself on the left of the Holmesdale box. He squared the ball to the unmarked Marvin Alebiosu, who took a touch and sidefooted a very cool finish into the net to put Fisher a goal up.
The game took a bizarre turn shortly afterwards as referee Mr Idras injured himself as he jumped over the ball. After lengthy treatment from Fisher physio Emily Sawyer, it was clear that the referee could not continue and he handed the whistle to senior assistant Isaac Aumjaud. A volunteer from the Holmesdale bench came forward to run the line, and eventually the game continued.
Fisher continued to be the better team but as the half wore on Holmesdale came into the game. Billy Hensman had to be quick off his line to clear the danger after Fisher had given the ball away at the back, and he then produced an excellent save from Mert Varli. Holmesdale finished the half on top, although Zepo forced a saved from Colin Barnes in the Dale goal shortly before the break.
The second half started in similar fashion to the first, with Fisher on top. Hanifan shot wide from a good position, but Fisher soon doubled their lead. Sam Ryan swung in a corner and Ben Frempah challenged for the ball with Dale defender Marc Cumberbatch – the ball was sent crashing into the back of the net, and while Cumberbatch looked guilty Frempah had no hesitation in claiming the final touch and the goal.
Henry went closest for the home side with a long range shot that crashed wide, but it was generally Fisher who looked more likely to score.  Alebiosu worked his way into the box on the left, and shot for goal from an angle when perhaps a pull back might have been a better option. Hensman was forced to pull off an outstanding double save from Daniel Stewart, but with 19 minutes to play Fisher made the game safe.
Fisher’s third came courtesy of some excellent football. Alebiosu, receiving the ball in midfield, played a superb reverse pass to release Monan on the left wing. He attacked the box and sent over a superb cross that Zepo glanced into the corner of the net to seal the win for the Fish.
That was the last of the notable action as the game ended with the odd flare of temper, leading to a late flurry of yellow cards. Stand in referee Mr Aumjaud, who did a fine job after taking over, brought proceedings to a close and Fisher had notched a sixth game unbeaten with a win that moved them above Holmesdale in the table.
