Fisher returned to winning ways with a convincing victory on the road at Corinthian.
Assistant manager Bryan Glover gave a first start to Einar Benediktsson whilst new striker Dexter Babalola was given a place on the bench.
The Fish played a 4-5-1 formation with Akala on his own upfront and dominated a first half but lacked the finish to take a deserved lead. Akala, Mark Lewis and the excellent George Savage all squandered good chances and the home keeper did well to tip a speculative Glover drive over the bar to keep it level at the break.
Ten minutes after the restart the visitors finally got the breakthrough. Benediktsson playing in the second half as a deep lying forward found the right through ball to send Raphael Akala clear, the pacey forward shrugged off a challenge before rounding the home custodian and slotting into an empty net.
Fourteen minutes from time the game was wrapped up as substitute Babalola finished a fine move with only his second touch in a Fisher shirt, Benediktsson once again the provider.
The Fish now have a week off before the August bank holiday double header against title challengers Erith Town and Beckenham Town.
