Corinthian moved up to ninth with victory over struggling Fisher in the Kent Premier.
Barnett opened the scoring in the first half, rounding off a good move with a calm finish into the bottom right corner. Barnett then added his second deep in the second half fininshing from close range past the hapless Adam Lisney in goal.
Fisher extended their recent run of poor form that has seen them win only once in the last nine outings.
They began well and Rafa Akala went close for the Fish with a drilled effort going wide after just five minutes. And late in the game, Fisher midfielder Rob Hughes had a speculative effort from 30 yards fly over the bar after cutting inside a defender. But most of the action happened at the other end of the pitch, with Corinthian bossing possesion and their dangerous no.9 Barret forcing Lisney into making a number of saves.
Fisher lacked shape and strength in midfield and creativity going forward with the visting keeper not having to make a save all afternoon.
Gary Lisney will be hoping for a better performance next weekend when Tunbridge Wells, currently just one place above the Fish will play hosts at the Culverden Stadium.
