Kent League Cup First Round Second Leg

Fisher 1 - 5 Beckenham Town
Saturday 30 October 2010 - 15:00

Quentin Conteh scored a brace as Beckenham easily booked their place in the second round of the Kent League Cup winning 5-1 at Champion Hill Stadium.
An unmarked Conteh volleyed Beckenham in front after just 10 minutes to put Becks 5-0 up on aggregate. Dexter Babalola was tripped in the area two minutes later to allow Jamie Lawrence to fire in from 12 yards to level the scores on the day. But Hulusia Mustafa unfortunately put the ball past his own keeper on the half hour to again give Becks the lead before half-time.
Nathan Paul added to Fisher’s woes grabbing the fourth on the hour before Gary Gorman completed the rout with the fifth ten minutes before time.
It was Beckenham’s greater quality in attack that was the difference between the two sides, with Jason Huntley’s team showing a clinical edge that was beyond their opponents.
Fisher, who have now lost the last three consecutive games, certainly had opportunities to score but were all too often thwarted by in-form Becks goalkeeper Nick Blue.
