Cray Valley PM 3 - 0 Fisher
Saturday 19 April 2014 - 15:00

On Saturday, Fisher started off their Easter weekend with a 3-0 defeat away against Cray Valley at Badgers Sports Ground.
Despite a spirited start from the Fish which saw them on the attack early on, the visitors found themselves trailing by three goals at the break. Cray Valley opened the scoring when Ola Robiu was released and beat Fisher’s debutant goalkeeper Justin Lee at his near post in the 23rd minute. Laurent Hamici doubled the hosts’ lead in the 35th minute, tucking home a simple shot from an quick break after the Fish lost possession cheaply during a quick free kick routine.
Dan Gunner rounded off the first half (and the scoring) with Cray’s third in first half stoppage time.
The second half saw Fisher come to life, with Jay Garrick running the show going forward, hitting a few decent shots, although Cray goalkeeper Matt Bailey barely had to get his gloves dirty all afternoon. Stephen Ita and Kieron Burrell also tested the Cray defence but no-one was able to create a shot worthy of a goal. Meanwhile at the back, Dan Flemming enjoyed a solid game, producing some fine last ditch clearances and blocks to keep the scores at 3-0.
