We are saddened to learn of the death of former Fisher Athletic manager Mike Bailey earlier today, at the age of 84.
Mike, who was capped twice by England, managed Fisher in the Conference, taking over from Malcolm Alison in November 1989 and kept us up that season against the odds with an amazing run in. 
His playing career saw over 150 games for Charlton Athletic and over 350 for Wolverhampton Wanderers with shorter spells at Hereford United and in the NASL with Minnesota Kicks. Previously to managing at Fisher he managed Brighton and Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic and Hereford United.
