MATCH POSTPONED: Windsor & Eton V Fisher (FA Vase)

Due to heavy overnight rain lingering though the morning, an 11 a.m. inspection deemed the pitch at Stag Meadow unplayable, therefore today’s FA Vase Fourth Round against Windsor and Eton will not go ahead.

The fixture has been re-arranged for the next Saturday 24th January again at Stag Meadow. This means our Kent Senior Trophy game at Whitstable Town will be put back a week to Saturday 31st January, when we were due to go there in the league, with the league fixture now to be rearranged for later in the season.

Both Windsor & Eton and Fisher’s names will enter Monday’s Fifth Round draw, which we believe will be drawn in two groups, a Northern section and a Southern section. The Southern section should include eight from:

AFC Stoneham (Wessex)
Cockfosters (Spartan South Midlands)
Downton (Wessex)
Great Yarmouth Town (Thurlow Nunn) or Haywards Heath Town (Southern Combination)
Hallen (Hellenic)
Lymore Gardens (Thurlow Nunn)
Punjab United (Southern Counties East)
Whitstable Town (Southern Counties East)
Windsor & Eton (Combined Counties North) or Fisher (Southern Counties East)

We believe that if selected on a geographic basis, one of Lymore Gardens, Cockfosters or Great Yarmouth Town (dependant on winning their replay) will be placed in the Northern Section. Alternatively one side/pair may be selected randomly to go into the Northern section, possibly to meet Coventry United, as the most Southerly side of that section.

The draw will be live on Talksport 2 at 3:15 pm on Monday.
