Hanwell Town started the game strongly and their powerful centre forward Obi scored twice within the opening 20 minutes, firstly with a smart finish and then a header from a flicked on corner.
Fisher were struggling to find a way into the game but on 25 minutes did go close when Rob Brown, making his 100th Fisher appearance, sent a free kick just wide. Minutes later both sides were reduced to when Melvin Adesida’s clumsy challenge saw him given a red card and from the resulting melee Obe also saw red.
Fisher came out for the second half well and earned themselves an early corner. However, from the clearance Hanwell swept down the other and Brosnan outpaced the Fisher back four before slotting home low to Carpanini’s left to make it three nil.
Fisher then goal chalked off after Trey Small had powered through the middle and tucked the ball home only for the referee to adjudge a foul had occurred. However, this marked a good spell for Fisher who threw caution to the wind. Malaki Coker pulled a goal back with a hooked effort before substitute Harry Main raced through to lob the Hanwell keeper and pull Fisher to within one goal of the visitors.
Before Fisher could launch any late push for an equaliser Hanwell restored their two goal cushion, when Carpanini failed to hold a low cross and the rebound was stabbed home. There was still time for Fisher to add a late consolation goal as Main’s cross found Christian Udo who slammed home.
