On Saturday the Fish travelled to Ashford United in pouring rain. A promising start was halted when a deflected long range shot put Ashford in front, and Fisher’s hopes were dealt a blow when Jamie Taylor saw red after handling on the line.The resulting penalty was scored, and Fisher never looked likely to get back in the match with ten men. The one bright spot in the 4-1 defeat was Piers Hanifan’s first goal for the club.
