Williams joins Welling United, taking three steps up in the process

Trey Williams has today agreed to join National League South side Welling United on non-contract terms. Fan favourite Trey has lit up St Paul’s this season, with his 9 goals in all competitions standing out as high points in an otherwise underwhelming campaign for the Fish. Wings boss Jamie Day has moved to add Trey’s goals to Welling’s cause as they sit at the wrong end of the league table, moving Williams up from Step 5  to Step 2 of the non-league pyramid.

Speaking to fisherfc.org, Trey had this message for the Fisher Faithful – “The fans have been great and it has been an absolute pleasure to play for a club with such great support. It helps so much on the pitch knowing the you’ve got the kind of fans that Fisher have backing you up.”

Subject to completion of paperwork Trey should be available for Welling’s FA Trophy game against Hythe Town this weekend.

Everyone at Fisher wishes Trey all the best for his future career, and thank him for his goals, effort and attitude whilst with the club. He will always be welcome back at St Paul’s.
