Match Preview – Fisher v Millwall XI

Tomorrow sees Fisher kick off our preparations for the 2017/18 season in style, hosting our neighbours Millwall in what some have called the Battle of Bermondsey. The day promises to be a great occasion for the Club and fans of both sides, with Lions supporters getting a chance to see some of the players coming through the ranks at The Den, with the Fisher players having the opportunity to test themselves against Championship level opponents.

The Fisher First Team Squad have been back in training for two weeks, with boss Dean Harrison pleased with the approach that he has seen from the players. “Pre-season is going really well. It is great to have kept most of last year’s squad together, it gives us a real foundation to build on from the progress we were making towards the end of the season. There is a great buzz and expectation in the dressing for the game against Millwall, and for the coming season.”

We are expecting a healthy crowd at St Paul’s tomorrow for the visit of our SE16 neighbours. Entry will be just £10 for 2 Adults, and FREE for any Under 16s who are accompanied by a paying adult. There will be two turnstiles open on the Salter Road side of the ground from 1.45pm, and we recommend getting to the ground early to try and avoid waiting in a queue in the lead up to the 3pm kick-off.

Once in the ground you will be able to sign up for Fisher FC Membership for the coming year and become an owner of the club in the process, or to support The Fish even further you can sign up as part of The 12th Man Fund. The Fisher Super Draw will return with the chance to win £25, alongside the Fisher Club Shop selling scarves, mugs and badges. Season Tickets will be on sale ahead of the SCEFL season, plus of course our pre-season offers in the Clubhouse Bar. Alongside our usual Clubhouse Bar offer we will also have food and drink available from our friends Lovegrub, also based in the Clubhouse.
