January fixtures important update
January is going to be a crucial month for the Fish – the title chase starts getting serious and every result, every point, counts from now on. We started 2018 with a blistering home win against Erith [read the match report here: http://www.fisherfc.org/2018/01/08/match-report-fisher-2-0-erith-belvedere/] and continue into the new year with a full calendar of games to keep the lads on their toes and focused on promotion.
There’s been a number of changes and additions to this month’s fixture list, including a couple of mid-week games and one cup tie, so make sure you have everything marked down in your diary and try to get to as many matches as you can. The players always appreciate the level of noise and commitment the fans bring to games, and being one of the few supporter-owned clubs in the country, it’s you the fans that make the club what it is.
Our current winning run is exceptional by any standards – 9 league wins on the trot, and the players have shown their class throughout – a remarkable mix of skill, clarity and determination from a team confident in its abilities. This is a title winning Fisher.
Even though it’s mid-season there’s still an opportunity to become a co-owner, and we still need to generate enough funds to ensure we get back up into the Premiership. If you ever thought about owning a football club now is the time!
