This is it. This is the big one. The most important game of the season so far. Over the next 6 weeks we will have to play current league leaders K Sports twice and Punjab United away – a team who are sitting one place above us in second place. Currently we’re five points behind Punjab, six behind K Sports.
So not only is the championship still wide open, but everything will depend of those three games. The toughest test on how we measure up comes this saturday with our first match against K Sports. The Paperboys have maintained their position at the top of the table for most of the season and they won’t want to give it up so easily.
If we can beat them on our own terms then we can win the league – it’s as simple as that. Tellingly the top four clubs are playing each over this weekend, the stakes then are even higher.
So it’s not an understatement to say this will be a crucial match for us, and Fisher are only as good as the support they get from the terraces – this is your club and we need as many people down at St Paul’s to ensure we have a fighting chance of taking the 3 points and moving closer to the top spot.
