Match preview: Punjab United v Fisher

We’re back on the title trail after an enforced break due to some very uncivilised weather putting most of SCEFL out of action for a couple of weeks. We tarvel down to Gravesend this wekend to take on the team just above us in the league in one of the most difficult games of the season. The stats speak for themselves – we’re 11 points behind Punjab (although we do have a game in hand) who haven’t lost at home this season.

We have taken a bit of a battering recently but the excellent 3-0 win at home to Meridian [watch the goal highlights here: http://www.fisherfc.org/2018/03/08/goal-highlights-fisher-3-0-meridian-vp/] means we still have a chance to claw our way to the top of the table. It’s not going to be easy – but the Fish are always at our best when we’re up against the odds, it’s how we do things this side of the river.

As ever our travelling support will need to be in strong voice, a win will put us withing 8 points of Punjab and with our following game away to league leaders K Sports just 3 days later anything is possible.
