End of Season Awards – you’re all invited

Saturday 21 April – after the game with Thamesmead

This is an invitation all Fish fans (and friends and family) to join us down at the Salt Quay after the game on saturday for a grand celebration with the players and our annual end-of-season awards.

It has been a remarkable season for us in every sense of the word – the players fought every single game to gain promotion back into the premier league, with some genuinely unforgettable performances along the way – those who were there for the stunning 9-1 win against Lydd Town will be talking about it for a long time to come. And although we didn’t quite make it, a respectable 3rd place, the level of passion and commitment shown by the players never wavered and has laid the foundations for certain promotion next season.

It has been a privilege to watch these lads develop into a confident and skilful side, culminating in a heroic 9 wins on the trot – a period when individual flair was matched with a brilliant team ethos and some outstanding joyous football – every game seemed to bring out the best in the Fish and the supporters responded accordingly. With our highest attendance since coming home and the increase in decibels at the Dockers End, St Paul’s has been the only place to be on a saturday afternoon.

We know the Fish have the heart to go all the way, and the support to take us there. This season has been the preparation of great things to come.
