Fisher picked up maximum points this afternoon for the second time this season. Although pushed all the way by a workmanlike Tower Hamlets side containing two former fish in the shape of the Odedoyin twins. Tola who skippered the side and Wale who came on in the second half.

It was Tower Hamlets who had the first shot on target when Trevor Harding tested the recalled Carpanini in the Fisher goal.

Courtney Swaby who has started his Fisher career in red hot form netting three in three. Tried to make it four in four when he beat his marker cutting in from the right before shooting tamely into the side netting.

Julio Da Mata wins a loose ball in midfield and tries to release Swaby but there is too much on the through ball. Shortly after Jacob Katonia wins a free kick in midfield about 30 yards from goal. Temi Oladejo took the set piece that eventually found its way to Swaby who shot wide when well placed.

Tower Hamlet then put a sweeping move together that went from one end of the field to the other. Okunlola got up really well to meet the cross at the far post. His header down was well saved by Carpanini on the line.

Coker wins a free kick in midfield after being pulled down. Christian Udo thumps the ball out of St. Paul’s and into someone’s back garden without testing the keeper.

Swaby had now switched wings with Coker. Swaby danced by three players along the goal line before pulling the ball back to Udo. Udo in a good position fired over when he should have opened the scoring.

At the other end Skipper Sam Fitzgerald got round on the cover after Sarpong was caught out of position. Fitzgerald cleared his lines and reset the back four with Glasgow alongside him starting to form a good partnership at centre half.

Moments later it was Fitzgerald who took a heavy knock to the face when he went up with Tola Odedoyin. Fitz required some treatment but he was soon back up and organising his back four.

Jacob Katonia was getting through his usual amount of work in midfield and it was his pass into Udo who in turn took the ball in really well before being fouled 25 yards out. Oladejo lined up to have a pop at goal. His shot cannoned back off the wall and out for a throw.

Moments later it was Michael Sarpongs turn to be on his toes when he had to get round and cut out a fine through ball from Hamlets sergev Andrei.

Fisher had just edged a well fought first half and a late corner had the keeper collect just in front of Fitzgerald at the far post as both sides go in goalless.

The returning Oneal Rowe was replaced at half time by Lee Weemes who had just come back from a fortnight in his budgie smugglers.

Two minutes into the second half and Fisher poked their noses in front when Courtney Swaby beat his marker with a fine step over that saw Swaby lifted off his feet and dumped unceremoniously onto the 4g turf.

The free kick was sent over by Oladejo, Weemes got a slight flick on that beat everyone except the onrushing Udo who’s stooping low header flew into the net. 1-0

Tower Hamlets had seen enough and made the first of three subs either side of a Swaby effort that came back off the post after his surging run saw him burst past three players before his shot went through the keeper.

It was at this stage Fisher upped it a few gears with Weemes and Udo leading from the front. Closing down and pulling the rest of the team up the field and forcing their teammates to up their work rate.
Carpanini had not had much to do up to this point but he had to be on his toes to make a smart save when the ball popped around the box like a pinball machine.

Julio Da Mata picked up a booking for an accumulation of fouls rather than anything sinister.
A superb team move from Fisher put them 2-0 up. And It was nothing more than they deserved. Katonia found Swaby who galloped away down the left and his first time side footed cross picked out Udo who made no mistake from inside the six yard box.

Swaby leaves the field with the 1980s Human League hit don’t you want me baby ringing in his hears from the dockers end. Obviously reworked for the one and only Courtney Swaby. Victor Van Doleweerd is the man to replace him.

Aaron Glasgow finds himself in the refs notebook after a soft challenge. Minutes later Malachi Coker doesn’t go into the refs notebook for a clumsy but high tackle on a Hamlets player.

Lee Weemes managed to get away from his marker and finds himself all alone with the keeper to beat. His idea was the correct one as he looked to lob the keeper but his execution was poor as he didn’t get the required lift on the ball as the keeper collects easily.

Once again Weemes gets his head up on the halfway line and slides a nicely weighted pass left to Van Doleweerd who clipped a pass into Udo who controlled the ball in the box before unleashing a shot on target which the keeper takes into his midriff.

As the game began to wind down Tower Hamlets had a real go at getting something from the game. Daniel Carpanini made three top class saves to ensure he came off the pitch with his clean sheet intact.
Christian Udo came off to a standing ovation when he was replaced by Jack Gibbons for the last few minutes.

It won’t be long before the scouts are coming down to St. Paul’s and casting their eyes over the latest talent Fisher have to offer that’s for certain. With more 7 day approaches going in than a Craig David song. Several scouts where spotted today and I’m sure the reports will be favourable.
