SCEFL Premier Division 2022/23 Season fixture list

Having had time to digest the newly published SCEFL Premier league fixture list for the forthcoming season we can say things are looking pretty positive for us. As ever it’s a full-on busy first few months as we kick off the season with a home tie against new arrivals in the premiership Whitstable Town [Sat 30 July]. Last time the Oystermen played at St Paul’s they brought a hefty (and vocal) away support with them so it’s guaranteed to be a lively opener to the season.

We’ve also got two new clubs visiting St Paul’s in August – Sutton Common Rovers [Sat 6 August] and Oakwood [Sat 27 August] courtesy of the FA Cup and FA Vase respectively. Home advantage for both cup competitions will definitely be a confidence boost and looking forward to at least one decent cup run this season.

First away game of the season is down at Hollands & Blair [Sat 13 August]. We’re still looking for that ‘Fisher 50’ – taking at least 50 regular supporters with us to every away game. If you don’t usually travel with the Fish now is the perfect time to do it – atmosphere’s always rocking as we take the spirit of South London with us and the players genuinely appreciate the effort made by travelling fans.

On the home front it’s going to be Christmas At St Paul’s this season as the two games either side of Christmas day – Phoenix Sports [Sat 17 Dec] and Glebe [Mon 26 Dec] are both home ties.

Talking of holiday fixtures our bank holiday Easter weekend game is away to Whitstable Town [Sat 8 April] – which will definitely be an organised Away Day to the beautiful north Kent coastal town.

Last game of the season is another stand-out fixture as we play host to newly promoted Stansfeld [Sat 22 April] is what will be an entertaining Battle of Bermondsey local ding-dong. Expect a good turn out for that one.
