End of Season Sponsored Walk – Sat 22 April

This saturday before our last home game of the season against Stansfeld Fisher fans be taking to the streets to promote and raise money for one of our designated local community groups – the excellent Time & Talents, as we walk across London from football’s iconic Wembley Stadium to St Paul’s Stadium in our beloved Rotherhithe.

In what has become a tradition in recent years the Fish fan sponsored walk has raised hundreds of pounds for groups in Bermondsey/Rotherhithe that do incredible work helping those in the local area Times & Talnts, Lions Food Hub and The proper Blokes Club – all giving something back the community. We are proud to be associated with them.

The walk itself starts at 9am on the morning of our last league game of the season. We will be meeting at the Olympic steps under the famous Wembley Arch and will proceed to walk across the capital in time for our 3pm kick-off at St Paul’s against local Bermondsey rivals Stansfeld. We welcome everybody and anybody to join us – the more the merrier, the walk itself is approximately 13 miles in distance and we will be taking a leisurely 5hrs to complete it. If you don’t fancy the entire walk we have 2 meet-up points where you can join for the final part of the route.

You can donate to the walk directly using our secure online paypal account. Simply type in the amount you want to donate and send (make sure you use WALK as a payment reference) here: Fisher Football Club Paypal

Also on the same day we will be collecting foodstuffs at the turnstiles before the game for Lions Food Hub. Please bring and donate any unwanted food items for the foodbank.

See you all saturday!
