Match Preview – Fisher v Erith & Belvedere

Having seen last weekend’s trip to Tunbridge Wells frozen off, Dean Harrison’s boys are itching to bag the points in tomorrow’s visit from Erith & Belvedere and get off the bottom of the table. Beckenham Town are just one point ahead of the Fish in 19th, with Erith Town, Deal Town and Tunbridge Wells all within catching distance as the fight to stay up hots up.

Last time out in the league The Deres bagged a 1-0 win at home to Lordswood, a win which ended a six game losing streak for John Wilfort’s side. Back in September Trey Williams scored an important equaliser for the Fish at Parkview Road to earn a point in a 1-1 draw, though we could very easily have walked away with all 3 points that afternoon following a dominant second half display.

There are a few familiar faces in The Deres squad, including full back Jeff Allen who was an important part of last season’s survival run, and the very swift return to St Paul’s of midfielder Spencer Forte. Midfielder Ashley Robinson has 5 goals in all competitions and is dangerous for dead ball situations.

Turnstiles will be open from around 1.45pm as usual on Tuesday for a 3pm kick off. The Club are delighted to confirm the extension of our ‘Fish for a Fiver’ offer for Premier League and Football League season ticket holders until the end of the 2016/17 campaign, so it is only £5 on the turnstile on production of a season ticket. The Clubhouse will be open for hot drinks (now with Hot Chocolate and Bovril), soup, noodles, soft drinks and snacks. Beers will come from local brewery Fourpure Brewing Co. as ever, alongside a few guest beers for the day.

The Fisher Super Draw will be back with the chance to win £25, and our ever popular Matchday Programme will be available for £1.50. The Fisher Club Shop will be open in the Clubhouse with our new Mugs and Enamel Badges, and the must have fashion accessory for a chilly Saturday afternoon – the Fisher Scarf!
