Match preview: Lordswood v Fisher

Wednesday night is Cup night!

We go into this tie having won our previous five matches. It’s an unbeaten run that has seen confidence levels steadily increase along with the standard of our game.

The tremendous result on saturday – doing the Bermondsey double against Stansfeld, was as satisfying as it was deserved. A hard physical game that saw the lads play their hearts out to secure victory.

Goes without saying Fisher away have become a force of nature, having only lost once away from home in the league this season. Cup ties are of course a different matter and Lordswood won’t want a repeat of their last two home games – both cup defeats at the hands of Sheppey and Bracknell Town.

With the Fish playing the way we are, it could certainly be a hat-trick of home cup defeats for the Lords. As an extra incentive the winners go on to play Stansfeld in the next round. The Bermondsey triple!?

For this fixture Fisher will be wearing our Black and White striped home kit.
