Fisher welcomes CONIFA World Cup to St Paul’s

Fisher FC are proud to welcome the CONIFA 2018 World Cup to St Paul’s Stadium

The CONIFA World Cup has come to London for a festival of football and St Paul’s Stadium is playing a part in this unique sporting experience. Over the next week and half from May 31st to June 9th teams from around the world will converge on football grounds in the capital showcasing a truly alternative World Cup.

CONIFA is the Confederation of Independent Football Associations – the football federation for all associations outside FIFA. It’s a global acting non-profit organization that supports representatives of international football teams from nations, de-facto nations, regions, minority peoples and sports isolated territories.

CONIFA aims to build bridges between people, nations, minorities and isolated regions all over the world through friendship, culture and the joy of playing football. CONIFA works for the development of affiliated members and is committed to fair play and the eradication of racism.

There’s 16 clubs playing in total with six of the competing sides from Europe, five from Asia, three from Africa, one from North America, and one from Oceania, so any Fish fans wanting to see some international level football get yourself down to St Paul’s this weekend and book your tickets for next saturday’s 2 game thriller in Rotherhithe.
