Annual General Meeting

Thursday evening saw the clubs Annual General Meeting take place, with 21 members in attendance at St Paul’s.
The Secretary’s report reflected on a successful season, with numerous record breaking cup runs, and an improved league position and points tally. A small decrease in average attendance figures, which was impacted by extra midweek fixtures was noted. The report also noted and thanked the contributions of our team of volunteers for their contributions throughout the 2022/23 season.
Simon Shipperlee and Gavin Witt will continue into the second year of their current terms on the Board of Directors and Jim Maycock, Bert Kite, Ian Murphy, Chris Hiscock, Paul Robinson, Chris Loudon and Scott Campbell having come to the end of their two year term were all unanimously re-elected.
The financial report showed that cup revenue, merchandise and bar takings have all contributed to a successful season in terms of finances and for the sixth year in succession, the club ended the season in profit and now debt free, for which a motion of thanks for the board’s financial diligence was passed from the floor. With the cost of living issues in mind, membership prices, season tickets, admission prices and bar prices have been frozen once again for next season.
The meeting was given information on the strengthening relationship between the club and Millwall’s Community Trust as part of an update on the youth set up, and the good progress since 2017 of the youth teams, with an Under 18 side and girls side set to commence next season.
It was confirmed that we will be moving to rolling membership based on the date of membership being taken up and having now arrived membership cards and season ticket cards will be available to buy and collect throughout pre-season.
This ended the formal part of the meeting with a useful in depth fans forum/question and answer session taking place after.
